De acordo com fontes ligadas à Microsoft, a versão final do Windows XP SP2, uma das atualizações mais aguardadas para o Windows XP, será lançada em 23 de junho. Uma nova versão beta do SP2 também será lançada para os beta-testers antes do lançamento da versão final, provavelmente um novo Release Candidate.
That's right folks, according to sources close to Microsoft - XPSP2 is due to RTM on the 23rd June. This sets dates back and looks towards an RC2 release. Currently internal testing is at build 2103 (6.00.2900.2103 (xpsp.040330-1748). Working towards a late June RTM would mean beta testers are likely to get another interim or Release Candidate to play with soon.
Previous estimates have (like other SPs) been strictly no RC2 and a release in May to RTW but it seems like this isn't the case. Whatever happens we'll keep you updated, but for now it seems, RC1 is not the last beta we'll be seeing of XPSP2.
