Apesar dos esforços para aumentar a segurança em computadores e em redes, criminosos continuam a passar pelas barreiras de segurança com novos malwares voltados a computadores no lugar de redes corporativas. A Symantec lançou recentemente seu oitavo relatório de ameaças na Internet, que revelou uma alta exposição de informações confidenciais.
"Os hackers estão mudando seus alvos e os usuários precisam permanecer atentos para manter seus sistemas seguros, com atualizações constantes, para prevenirem-se desta mudança de foco", segundo o vice-presidente dos Serviços de segurança gerenciada da Symantec, Arthur Wong.
Despite stepped up efforts to harden computer security and tighten network perimeter defenses, criminals continue to outsmart security barriers with new malware that targets desktop computers instead of enterprise networks. Symantec yesterday released its eighth Internet Security Threat Report, which revealed attackers are gaining financially from Internet attacks. The report also disclosed a serious increase in the exposure of confidential information.
"Attackers are moving away from large, multipurpose attacks on network perimeters toward smaller, more targeted attacks directed at Web and client-side applications," said Arthur Wong, vice president of Symantec Security Response and Managed Security Services. "As the threat landscape continues to change, users need to be diligent in keeping systems up to date with security patches and security solutions."
