After a bit more research on the earlier post from one of our valued members, WinBeta today has learned that after Microsoft implanted a new version of the .Net Framework in Windows Codename Longhorn (Version 2.0 framework) it has also changed its build numbers of Longhorn from 4xxx to 5xxx (thus the earlier post reference).
We have also learned that some of the Longhorn team have left to work on SP2 which has slowed down the work on the lower kernel though not as many as reported by other news sites. This is due to the deadline that Microsoft have set to build and implement such features as Indigo. These technologies are so much of a part of Longhorn that Microsoft can not afford to lose them.
